Park It, Pack It, Pull It: Host a Donation Trailer on Your Street

Too Much Stuff, Too Little Time

We all have that corner of the house where clutter piles up, like your boxes in the garage, your clothes in the back of the closet, or your items that haven’t been touched in two years. Once you finally decide it’s time to clear it all out, reality hits.

Planning a garage sale means sorting, pricing, setting up tables, and spending a whole Saturday chatting with shoppers. And when the day ends, you’re stuck with a pile of leftovers and no idea what to do with them. That’s where Goodwill Acadiana can lift the weight off your shoulders!

Once you pick a date, tell your neighbors, and put your items out for the sale, book our donation trailer for everything that doesn’t sell, and we’ll take it from there. Your leftovers go straight to a good cause instead of back into the garage.

We Park It, You Pack It, We Pull It

At Goodwill Acadiana, we want to make giving as simple as possible. Here’s how it works: head to our website and book an appointment for the date, time, and place that fits your neighborhood project. On the day you choose, we’ll bring the donation trailer right to you. Then it's your turn to pack it with the gently used items at your own pace, whether that’s the leftovers from your garage sale or the things you’ve been meaning to clear out for years.

When you’re finished, we’ll pick up the trailer and take everything to one of our donation centers. No loading the car, no extra trips across town, and no wondering what to do with the pile. We park it, you pack it, and we pull it!

The Local Impact

Every item in your garage can make a difference, even the ones you haven’t touched in years. When you book our donation trailer, your leftovers from the garage sale don't end up in the trash. They get a second life in our stores, which keeps usable items out of the landfills and helps cut down on waste in our community.

The money from those sales also stays right here in Acadiana, helping a neighbor earn their high school diploma, find a job, or get support during a crisis, even if you never meet them. It’s a small act, but a big local impact.

Our mission is to reduce poverty, restore independence, and transform lives, and with your help, we can do it - one trailer of donations at a time!
