🎉 Join us in celebrating Trevor - a graduate taking control of his future!
Trevor’s journey looked different from the start. While traveling with his mom for work, he was homeschooled through tenth grade and gained experiences beyond the classroom. When his family learned that his program was not accredited and would not provide an official diploma, Trevor made the decision to pursue his GED (since Texas doesn't offer the HiSET) and take control of his educational future.
He passed his first exam in Texas before returning to Acadiana, where he took on the challenge of completing his remaining three exams in a single week and passed all of them with flying colors!
He's now working and plans to attend college this fall with a focus in Education. His goal is to build a future in athletic coaching by beginning at the high school level and eventually growing into a college coaching role.
Getting to know Trevor and his mom was truly special, because it showed just how powerful family support can be. Ms. Monica’s interest in earning her own diploma made this celebration even more meaningful, and we're already looking forward to the day she holds her own graduate sign 💙
Trevor, your hard work is inspiring! We're so proud of you. Your journey is just getting started!
To our community: YOU made this possible. Your donations are so much more than items. They're second chances, and Trevor is proof 🫶
