Adult HiSET Preparation
Our HiSET Preparation Class educates individuals wanting to earn their high school equivalency diploma without the worry of associated costs. Self-paced and individualized, our course is informal, well-organized, and conducted by experienced teachers. After graduation, individuals received continued support in their next steps to ensure success and growth.


Employment Services
Goodwill Acadiana provides free work readiness and job seeking services to assist individuals in gaining meaningful, lasting employment. We assist in the job search process and provide our clients with tools such as career assessments, resume building, and interviewing skills - empowering them to thrive in their careers with confidence and independence.
Community Service
Individuals who are at least 18 years old (or 17 with parental consent) can satisfy their court-appointed
community service hours at Goodwill Acadiana locations. Participants are monitored by trained coordinators and receive compassionate support in a structured environment, helping them fulfill their obligations.


Crisis Assistance
Goodwill Acadiana helps individuals experiencing an urgent, unforeseen crisis caused by fire, housing instability, natural disasters, and many other situations. A referral from an outside agency is required for eligibility review to determine program participation. If approved, clients receive a Goodwill voucher that can be used to purchase essential items, such as clothing, furniture, and household goods.
Supported Employment
Provides individualized support to help people with intellectual disabilities find and thrive in meaningful employment. We offer personalized job coaching, training, advocacy, job placement, and assistance in identifying career goals that match each person’s strengths and interest. Our team works closely with both the individual and their employer to ensure a smooth transition into the workplace and long term success. A referral from OCDD (Office of Citizens with Development Disabilities) is necessary for eligibility review to determine program participation.


Pre-Vocational Habilitation
This program assists individuals with intellectual disabilities develop foundational skills needed for future employment. Through hands-on-learning and tailored instruction, participants build essential skills in areas such as communication, problem-solving, social interaction, time management, following directions, and workplace behaviors. This program prepares individual for a successful transition into the workforce or vocational training by fostering independence, confidence and the ability to perform basic tasks to maintain employment. A referral from OCDD (Office of Citizens with Development Disabilities) is necessary for eligibility review to determine program participation.
