🎉 Join us in celebrating Tyce - a young man who never lost sight of his goal!
At 20 years old, Tyce already knows exactly who he is and where he's going. His goal has always been clear: serve in the Armed Forces and build a military career like several family members before him.
During his junior year, he stepped away to help care for his stepfather, who had started experiencing seizures. He tried to keep up through an online program, but virtual learning just wasn't working for him. He briefly returned in-person and aimed to complete two years of coursework in one, but the weight of it was too much, and he decided to enter the workforce. But the military dream never left him.
The one thing standing between Tyce and enlistment was his high school diploma, and that's where our Mission Services office came in. He met our team, laid out his goal, and asked to take his HiSET exams as fast as possible. He took four tests in three days, a fifth the following week, and walked out of every one with college-level scores.
Immediately after ordering his diploma, he headed straight to take his ASVAB, and he passed! Next up: boot camp 💙
Tyce, we're so proud of you. Your confidence and drive are truly special, and we're glad to play a part in your story!
To our community: YOU made this possible. Your donations are so much more than items. They're second chances, and Tyce is proof 🫶
